THE GLASGOW MUSICALE, 2014:

On Sunday, May 4, 2014, I returned to the Glasgow Musicale for a recital held at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 1100 North Race Street in Glasgow, Kentucky.  The program included Haydn's Sonata in Eb Major, Hob. XVI:52; Chopin's Ballade No. 4 in F minor, Op.52; Shostakovich's Prelude and Fugue in G Major, Op. 87 No. 3;  Liszt's Gnomenreigen from Zwei Konzertetüden; and Lowell Liebermann's Gargoyles.

Again, as always, it's a great pleasure to perform for this wonderful audience!  Thank you!

THE RULE OF THREE:

Saturday, May 12, 2012 -- "The Rule of Three" was held at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 1106 State Street, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Together with cellist Harrison Reed and violinist Joy Fan, I performed the second movement of Dmitri Shostakovich's Trio in E minor, Op. 67.

We also performed solo pieces:  I played Ravel's Oiseaux tristes and Alborada del gracioso from his "Miroirs" suite, and Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2.

Admission was free, and a reception followed the program (free food!!).

Thanks to everyone who shared the fun with us!

The Glasgow Musicale presented my solo piano recital of "Piano Classics" at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Glasgow Baptist Church, 401 S. Green Street, in Glasgow, Kentucky.

Thanks so much to the Glasgow Musicale for inviting me to perform!  It was a wonderful afternoon and a pleasure to play for such a warm, appreciative audience.

The program included Bach's Prelude and Fugue in D Major, BWV 874; Beethoven's Sonata No. 26 (Les Adieux); Bela Bartok's Two Rumanian Dances, Op. 8a; Ravel's Oiseaux tristes and Alborada del gracioso from his "Miroirs" suite; Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2; and (for the encore) Chopin's "Revolutionary" Etude, Op. 10, No. 12.

Check out the Glasgow Musicale on Facebook for some pictures and a video recording of Bach's Prelude and Fugue in D Major, BWV 874.
The recital was also featured on page 13 of the May 10, 2012 issue of the Barren County Progress.
