Welcome to my website!
Hello, everyone! I'm studying with Dr. Dror Biran at the University of Louisville School of Music as a piano performance major. I've been enjoying meeting new friends and my schedule continues to fill with exciting challenges.
Along with my fellow pianists from Dr. Biran's studio, I've performed live on Louisville Public Radio, WUOL (scroll down in the small Soundcloud box on the right to "Dror Biran Piano Studio," here). Also, I'm lucky to be part of the Trio Triumvirate with two wonderful U of L string students: we won an honorable mention at the 2014 Macauley Chamber Music Competition, and were featured on WUOL's Lunchtime Classics on April 16, 2014, with the other Macauley winners. As a soloist, I won the 2013 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Young Artist piano competition for the state of Kentucky.
One date I hope you will put on your calendar is Sunday, May 1, 2016. I'll be presenting a recital at 2 p.m. (C.T.) for the Glasgow Musicale in Glasgow, Kentucky, at the Glasgow Baptist Church, 401 South Green Street. Joining me for the second half of the performance will be baritone Seon-Hwan Chu.
The program will include:
Johann Sebastian Bach's Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor, BWV 867, WTC Book 1
Sergei Rachmaninov's Prelude in G-sharp minor, Op. 32, No. 12
Felix Mendelssohn's Variations Serieuses, Op. 54
Ludwig van Beethoven's Rondo alla ingharese quasi un capriccio, Op. 129 ("Rage Over a Lost Penny")
Sergei Prokofiev's Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 1
...and...
Ralph Vaughan Williams' Songs of Travel
